And I used some additional CSS for better styling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Step 1 create the search.php file<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to elegant themes and download a new Divi package to your computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unzip this package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open the Divi folder, find and copy the index.php file. Paste this file into another location where you can easily access it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rename this file to search.php<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Step 2 create the sections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Header section<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to your WordPress dashboard and go to Divi &gt; Divi Library<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on add new and under Template name you can fill in any name. I named this search result header.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under Template type, I choose Fullwidth section<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Style this section to&nbsp;your likings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"723\" height=\"624\" src=\"https:\/\/mk0markhendriks8nxd9.kinstacdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/divi-library-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1570\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/divi-library-1.jpg 723w, https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/divi-library-1-380x328.jpg 380w, https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/divi-library-1-680x587.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/divi-library-1-300x259.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/divi-library-1-510x440.jpg 510w, https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/divi-library-1-610x526.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 723px) 100vw, 723px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Call to action section above the footer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again go to Divi &gt; Divi Library<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on add new and fill in a Template name<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under Template type I choose section<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can create as many sections and rows as you want. For this tutorial, I\u2019ll stick to 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have now 2 section in my Divi libraryOpen the first created section. In the URL you will see something like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"723\" height=\"175\" src=\"https:\/\/mk0markhendriks8nxd9.kinstacdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/unique-id-number.jpg\" alt=\"unique id number\" class=\"wp-image-1571\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/unique-id-number.jpg 723w, https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/unique-id-number-380x92.jpg 380w, https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/unique-id-number-680x165.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/unique-id-number-300x73.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/unique-id-number-510x123.jpg 510w, https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/unique-id-number-610x148.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 723px) 100vw, 723px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Write down your own id number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do the same for the other section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need those numbers in the next step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Step 3 add the sections and rows to your search result page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Open the search.php file which we created in step 1 with a text editor program like TextEdit (Mac) or TextEditor (Windows) or Notepad++.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Copy and place this code at the top:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>&lt;?php\n\/*\nTemplate Name: Search Page\n*\/\n?><\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Place this line of code just under the&nbsp; get_header();<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>&lt;?php echo do_shortcode('&#91;et_pb_section global_module=\"???\"]&#91;\/et_pb_section]'); ?><\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Replace the ??? with your own id number from step 2. If you don\u2019t have a child theme folder then you need to create one. You can follow my&nbsp;tutorial&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.markhendriksen.com\/divi-child-theme-essential-guide\/\">How to create a Divi child theme<\/a>&nbsp;for creating a child theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Step 5 add some additional CSS for styling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With this CSS code you can change the column structure.
